We are ready for a lot of summer fun here in the Bay Area as a lot of matchups are headed to stadiums around the Bay Area. You will see teams from Europe, Mexico, and the United States.
European teams Wrexham F.C. and Chelsea hit the Levi’s Stadium pitch on July 24th, as apart of both clubs USA 2024 Tour. Wrexham F.C. has most recently captured the attention of soccer fans across the world with their HULU documentary showcasing behind the scenes footage of their journey. Chelsea, on the other hand, is one of the top teams in the European Premier League. They have been a top player in competitions such as the Champions League, FA Cup and many others. The team’s face-off on the Levi’s Stadium pitch for a night full over excitement.
Leagues Cup is back in the Bay Area for their second ever tournament involving clubs between Liga MX and Major League Soccer. One of the storied clubs in Mexico Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas) take on the San Jose Earthquakes of the MLS for their first competitive match up versus one another. Last season San Jose hosted Portland and Mexico’s UANL (Tigres), and look forward to their next chapter in the Leagues Cup hosting both Chivas and their rival LA Galaxy.
San Jose takes on Chivas at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on July 27th, and they will host LA Galaxy, at PayPal Park in San Jose, on July 31st.
For the first time ever, both the NWSL and Liga MX Femenil come together for the Summer Cup. Both leagues are coming together to grow the game even further as the ladies from both leagues will play head-to-head in a format to see who will be the best team from Mexico and the United States. Bay FC will be participating in hosting Angel City, and Liga MX's Club América Femenil.
Bay FC is entering their mid-season form as they get ready to take part of this new tournament, and they look to continue their recent form where they have been earning their results.
There is a lot going on in the next few weeks, and there will be a lot of summer soccer coming to a stadium near you.
